Stratified Columnar Epithelium

Type: Epithelium

Looks like:  layers of cells: bottom (basal cells) with cube like (cuboidal) cells , with the tall like (columnar) cells on top.  Also may contain goblet cells of mucus.

Function: protection and secretion.

Location:  This type of tissue is said to be very rare.  However, it can be found in small areas of the male urethra and large ducts of some glands.  But again very rare in the body!
