Pseudostratified columnar epithelium

Type: Epithelium

Looks like: tall cells stacked and squeezed against each other, the nuclei seen at different levels, cilia attached at the top and mucus of goblet cells in between packed cell groups.

Function: secretion of mucus, movement of mucus with the cilia.

Location: male sperm carrying ducts (nonciliated), trachea (ciliated), most upper respiratory tract (ciliated)
