Looks like: reminds me of a off white like marbled table. And the dark specs on the table are the mesenchymeal cells suspended in gelly like substance. { Mesenchyme is characterized morphologically by a prominent ground substance matrix containing a loose aggregate of reticular fibrils and unspecialized cells.[2] The cells are capable of developing into connective tissue, bone, cartilage, the lymphatic system, and the circulatory system.-from Wikipedia "msenchyme"}

Function: gives raise to all connective tissue types.
